April 12th was Tasaka's birthday, so I thought I'd draw him again relating to his birth month. xD The cherry blossoms are blooming in Japan, so I found it appropriate to use them in this piece. And yes, HE'S A GUY. xD

I'm actually really proud of this one. ^^ I hope you like it too!

Backstory: Tasaka is the youngest son of a businessman that maintains a Shinto shrine. He grew up overshadowed by a superior elder brother, eventually becoming rebellious and quite a delinquent. While playing with his cousin Janah and his brother Hiro at age four, he met a girl named Minako Ishita who had recently moved moved to his hometown of Tokyo. The girl had obviously been recovering from her parents' recent divorce, causing her to not only be picked on by her fellow classmates, but leave her rather distant and unable to become close to people. After having first teased Minako, he eventually found himself in love with her and perused dating her for years. Although they were very close, Minako suppressed her feelings for Tasaka and rejected him upon many occasions as a result. Seeing the destruction of her own parents' marriage which had caused her mother to raise her alone while she did not even know the location of her father had still very much scarred her, leaving her afraid to pursue her affections. Tasaka and Minako did not even have their first kiss until he had left with his family to move to Osaka on business at age 14. Upon kissing her, he had told her to wait for him because once he returns from Osaka he would ask to be with her one more time. The two years he spent residing in Osaka had left him even more smug and before, and his delinquent ways caused his grades and attendance to suffer. Luckily at age 16 he was able to return to his hometown and reunite with Minako. Once they had become a couple, he had vowed to stay by her side and help her reestablish her relationship with her father.
