depends. japanese normal writing (hirigana) definetly looks different, but kanji is chinese writing with japanese prounouciations, but yeah your write, the ones i used are exp of chinese artists

i go on this online game a lot, well it's more like a giant chat room version of .hack, and it's a japanese website, so japanese people play it and i see the japanese letters a lot. A lot of them seem to know english, which is kind of weird, but it's still cool!
