Birthday giftart for SassCannon and Moss-Stone . Since their birthdays are only two days apart (the 15th and the 13th of December, respectively), and since they ended up getting me into Undertale, albeit inadvertently, I figured I could draw a picture for them both~. Specifically one of all three of us posing for a picture with our favorite characters from the game.

I didn't originally plan to get this game at all and it certainly didn't help that it's quite overhyped and I tend to shy away from overhyped things, but one day, while I was at a friend's house and caught a glimpse of his brother playing it, there were a couple characters and their boss fights that looked so exciting that I couldn't help but be curious and check out a little more. And by those couple characters, I mean one. And by one, I mean a certain fabulous bishounen robot who oh, you can see who he is right in the picture!!

Though I can see why this game is so hyped. If only someone told me that Undertale is to RPG games as Puella Magi Madoka Magica is to magical girl series, then maybe I would have checked it out a lot sooner. Just the very fact that it deconstructs the usual game mechanics found in RPGs to a heartwrenching degree is significant enough, but it is only magnified by how memorable and likeable the characters can be. Even if it literally took me spoiling myself to the entire game before finally deciding to play it (since nobody made said above comparison to me and I really enjoy Madoka Magica, partially *because* I accidentally stumbled upon that anime all on my own instead of being overhyped about it), at least that meant that I was able to get the ending I wanted the first time around and not have to play it again since. The story was also emotional enough that I felt that I could never really come to terms with the sad parts of it until I faced it head on myself. And the fact that the game embraces anime and its tropes was a neat little bonus, too.

But let's be honest here. The one thing I enjoyed the most was the ridiculously attractive robot.
