what constitutes as gluttony? the craving for power, the hunger for bodily pleasure, or the sweet gratification of filling ones belly? for many a human and wyvarian, these are all valid states of gluttony. but for the Elder Dragon Garazi Garata, the concept of gluttony, or hunger in general is merely a factor of life. many researchers to this day debate on whether or not to classify Garazi Garata as a black dragon, creatures that are capable of causing mass calamity. personally speaking, I consider Garazi Garata as a Black Dragon, why do I say this? well, here is what Garazi Garata can do.

Every 300yrs, Garazi Garata awakens from its deep hibernation in a faraway mountain, and once it is awaken the dragon spends five months doing nothing but devouring everything that is within its immediate vicinity. from mineral deposits, plant life, and of course living creatures, and even rending lakes & rivers baron. and its all because that this dragon's metabolism and body drains so much energy just to function, otherwise the dragon will literally starve to death. its body even developed specialized crest on its head and lower jaws, that act as a second set of jaws, and wings having two digits that it uses to hold and subdue prey. there are even accounts of the Garazi Garata killing and eating Aknator's, Ukanlos's, Kushala Daora...they will virtually eat, everything.

this could turn an entire country, an entire nation into nothing more than a baron wasteland that would take years to recover, and repopulate. then once it has feed for those five months, the Garazi Garata flies off to the north, far north and stays there for a month. what it does there that month, no one knows. some think its going to some kind of mating sight. but whatever the case, once the dragon returns from the north, it will remain active for about three more months, eating anything that they have missed, or find in new pastures. while ensuring that the region it lives in is maintained as 'it's' territory.

once its nine months of the year its awake has ended, it will return to its mountain home, where it will once again enter deep sleep. waiting for the land it has claim over to re-fill its stores. then the cycle of endless hunger continues all over again.
