Guess becoming a limbless torso is the new trend... or not? Still, living a normal life with this shape can be hard, but who knows, maybe they're doing just fine ?Some work hard to stay fit, doing hundreds abs everyday, some try to do their jobs properly and some try to be proper mothers...Β
I wonder what are their reasons or situations to end up that way ?
At least they make perfect pillows!

I thought they can"see"and"hear"and"smell" like a normal human with their skin. AND they can breathe with skin in the water so they won't be drown.

I think your idea (in the comment and that pic with another headless and limbless) only applies to someone born that way (as you said it in the commentary in your pic). Not amputees. It is probably headless logic (how headless people do) because it is headless + limbless.

To me this would make the most sense if they had some sort of implant to assist in communication.Β That always seemed like the worst thing about Ruth's situation.Β But if there was some sort of digital channel connected to the brain, then the options are limitless:Β they could communicate with assistants, they could control wheelchairs or prosthetics, and so forth.

That was what horrified me the most about Ruth's situation. Not only was she completely blind, deaf, mute, and immobile, but that this was all completely voluntary on her part. Β How she didn't go absolutely insane from living in silent darkness for the rest of her life is beyond me.
