Having some troubles lately with getting motivated to draw. I sketch things out and ideas are running around the brain, but the actual act of sitting down and producing art has become a chore lately. So I was taking a break from chores around the house and sketched out this figure of a man running and really liked it. I liked it so much that I turned it into Shepherd!Shepherd is a character that I have been messing around with for a VERY long time, and he has evolved quite a bit over the years. Gotta do something more with this guy....

Nice to revisit some old characters isn't it - sometimes a new/old project is just the thing to kick you out of the art rut. Of course the other thing is hearing huge amounts of praise when your current work hits Cranky Octopus! Not long now....

i'm sorry to hear about your art-block. if it helps, i admire your work a lot. you create such dynamic characters, even when they aren't doing anytyhing.
i've joined so many groups lately that i don't have time to be bored! i'm busy thinking up new stuff and sketching my brains out!

As far as the block goes, have you tried comedy?
Like maybe a funny comic strip?
Maybe even horror. You (like me) seem to have an entire superhero
universe in your head.
Often, it helps me to try a different genre, just to see what it feels like.
Sometimes, that yields ongoing results and gets the ol' mojo back, and provides
more fodder for ongoing creativity.

Glad you like the new look of Shepherd. As far as changing things up, I understand where you are coming from, it's just a matter of sitting down and drawing.
Been doing a lot of work around the house and the day job has kept me pretty busy too. Maybe once things settle down I will be able to get back into my groove.
