This is the picture to one of my Tumblr answers on Gizmo's blog.I wanted to post it up here because I spent far too long on this bitch testing out new colouring styles.
I had a few successes and a few failures. I think I learnt some stuff from it. I tried to emulate some of 's style techniques. Not sure if it worked, but I tried...
Any con crit on the colours?

I REALLY love how you colored the skin and the lines are nice and clean~ his expression is nice but his eyes seem a bit too far appart.
the pipboy looks nice and has a lot of nice details. Not a huge fan of the coloring you did for the shirt...Think its time I teach you the ways of textures.
The over all lighting is fairly nice but seems to be coming kinda randomly. it looks like you wanted it to come from the right side but it didn't quite do that.
over all I think its nice and a really nice improvement~~
the colors you picked are nice too because you have kinda a habbit of picking super bright colors, which don't go in the wasteland.
so trying something a bit duller and making him look dirty helps a lot.
over all it looks really good and i like the pose~~

Oh hi, Gizmo :'D I like your lineart. I can't seem to like how I do lineart so I tend to skip it... :I
From what Radio said, when you pick colors, try de-saturizing them. If you use Photoshop, for the color/styles tab click on the thing with three lines and choose HSB sliders (if you don't use them). Here, you can saturize or de-saturize a color. If you can seem to get it right, you can adjust the amount of black added and see if that helps. I'm not that great with coloring myself though and I'm still learning. :/
