Description Błędnica - a Slavic forest demon that led people astray, leaving them lost in the middle of the woods to die out of hunger or be eaten by wild animals. Błędnica looked like a light phenomenon or like a young, beautiful girl, tempting wanderers with her body. - translated from "Wielka księga demonów polskich" (what could be translated as: "The Great book of Polish demons") by Barbara and Adam Podgórscy.

Well done!

I swear I've heard of this creature, but I can't think of how or when? O.o

Thank you Creatures in many of the old belief systems are sometimes incredibly similar - it's highly possible there's an equivalent somewhere, so maybe that's how you know this one. Plus, for some reason, the favourite pastime of 90% of Slavic forest demons was leaving people lost in the woods to die - the differences between them are sometimes miniscule, so you can pretty safely say that if you've heard of one, you've heard of most of them. o_O
