Description So...I've been wanting to play with negative space for the longest time ever. I just feel real afraid to. It's like, I always want to do something more to it because it looks so empty, but then, that's the whole damn point of using negative space as a main component of the drawing in the first place! lol!

I didn't realize how challenging it would be though. What would I draw? What color do I use? How do I make a pleasing balance? How should I pose the character so they're not completely obscured by the negative space?

I've also wanted to make some Fifth Element fan art for ages and ages and I thought Leeloo would be so cool to experiment with. Hopefully, the experiment was a successful one, lol!

Oh my goodness! Fifth Element!! Wow, been so long since I've seen that! I had to take a second look and look closely too! I mean, wow, I can only imagine how to do this, but I think it'd be kinda fun!!

It was fun and yet, a helluva challenge, LOL! I literally had to restrain myself from wanting to add stuff to the background and stuff. The whole point was to play with the negative space, but it was almost impossible for me to look at it and not go "ooh! This would look nice with this or this" I do want to do more of them, I'm just not sure who else to start with, lol!

I see, so it was a good challenge of holding yourself back! I applaud you! I think you accomplished that and created a great piece! Take your time, I'm sure there will be something you'll want to do...it might just come to you...like in a dream! XD

This is so cool! I had to look closely to realize that there were no lines for the straps. I thought "oh cool! Where did they come up with an awesome idea like that?" Now I feel inspired to play with negative space
