It is a Monday Morning in April 1980 and there have been engineering works between Crewe and Chester the previous day. Here, Wigan Springs Branch-based 40177 is returning to Crewe, having picked up the wagons that were left in sidings on Sunday night.

40177 was withdrawn with worn tyres on 9th July 1984 and cut up at Crewe Works in May 1986.
