Third Warhammer portrait, good old Vladdy von Carstein this is probably the weakest one so far but at least I finally managed to come up with half decent gold. Hope you'll enjoy it.Copyright: Games Workshop

Terrifying and charismatic at the same time! You did it really well! Vlad von Cartein is my favorite character in any Warhammer, he is even one of the only vampires who still has good in him and honor. He had a good ending in End of Times

I haven't read his story in the End Times, but considering they literally pulled out Mannfred from their arse I can't imagine Vlad getting a much better treatement, tho indeed back in the fantasy he did stand out as a more than just and angry power hungy Vampire.

sorry, my English is bad, but if I understood you correctly, you mean that Manfred was not treated well? On the contrary, I find it the case in End of Times, he was a bastard to the end, selfish and without the least scruple and reproached the fact that Vlad had a little compassion towards the living.
And Vlad is indeed able to be angry, but also to be of good behavior and diplomacy. To get your idea, I really advise you to read End of Times, if you are a fan of warhammer, it should really please you I think

Honestly I barerly remember what happened to Manfred, one thing that stood out to me was the BS way he came back. He was turned to mush by a weapon specifically designed to kill him for good, then buried under a magic tree just to make sure he won't come back (if I remember right), but no some random peasant happened to had a nosebleed under that tree and boom, Ye Ol' Manfy is back!
The End times were full of this kind of pissing on lore and logic, tho by itself I could stand them but it is true that what came after was much worse. I just like to keep myself under a delusion that Storm of Chaos is the real lore and this is all just a bad dream. Right now I'm trying to finally dig into Horus Heresy so it will be a while before I get time for any other lecture, but I do plan to go back and check out whatever fantasy lore I might've missed.

For Manfred, I'm not shocked, any vampire in any story has the unfortunate tendency to come back to life, despite all that one can try to do.
On the other hand, I agree that some ressurection irritated me, like the resection of Tyrion, who I found had a beautiful death (died in evil Khaine, that it was good and tragic!)
And I read storm of chaos, it also has defects I think, but I admit that the end where Grimgor is the one who kills Archaon was also a beautiful ending! One bad guys who kille THE bad guys ^^

Well yeah, but there has to be a line, every time they come back trough a deus ex machina it just makes the suspension of disbelief weaker. I'm fine with a vamprire surviving decapitation and such but if he comes back after being wrecked by means specifically designed to kill him "just because" it really comes of as cheap.
End times has a lot of issues and stupid plot lines. Didn't Baltazar Gelt become a necromancer at some point for no reason? And if I remember right Heinrich Kemmler joined Nagash or someone, only to betray them right before their victory again for no reason, like he just spontaneously switched over to the loser's side.
The ending of the Chaos storm is a little... forced, as much as I love the image of Grimgor kicking Archaon in the balls, but that's just the issue of the settings, both 40k and Fantasy. You need those grand events and threats, chaos crusades and Everchosen but you can't really have them win or achieve much becasue: A) it will end the setting if the bad guys just win, B) You'll have ot kill of some fan favourite characters, C) You'll have to, god forbid, actually advance the plot line, tho to be fair the "new GW" has been much better at it. They haven't pulled of anything as stupid and the new Necron fluff or the End Times so far, they even managed to make Guilliman into a somewhat compeling character from what I hear.
I wouldn't say Grimgor's a bad guy, he's just an ork, simply looking for the best fight he can find.

I have no idea what you are saying, last time I checked Vlad lead the charge of the Vampires & wiped the floor with the new Everchosen, literally & figuratively, well Karl Franz & Louen Leoncoeur did help but is was Vlad who cut off his head, after which Manfred was "removed" from the world, Isabella von Carstein was brought back by his hands & some help from Teclis, for saving Alarielle the everqueen then proceeded to move back in to Drakenhof Castle, Walach Harkon had steped down for Abhorash to take his place, the Red Duke met his end at one of the Rune Fangs which was wielded by Alberic d'Bordeleaux, Nefera is mia, now Vlad is fully accepted as the Sylvania's Elector Count, some might question it the Emperor has said the matter is clossed. Still my liege lord is back & so is Abhorash, I had the chance to shacke his hand, only issue are the old lovers "sharing there affection" for another, can't sleep, have to stuff wool in to my ears & put of a leather strap & a helmet, that & because of the noise my coffin warmer can't sleep either, so it hard.
Bretonnia & the Empire are slowly rebuilding, with a considerable effort along with some aid from the Dwarves & the Elves, both high & wood, its a really slow process, there some marriages aranged in order to better support the nations, Talia & Estalia, are having a hard time getting there economy, industry, agriculture back on track, but Bretonnia is the main granary now a days, Karl was considering having his son Luitpold II marrying in to the Bretonnia's nobility to secure a more stable alliance, since his daughter in only 16, while Louen Leoncoeur was gien back his title as king following Giles le Bretonn's departure as the Green Knight one more, before having a duel with Abhorash, Kislve had to relocate in to the Empire's territory till it can muster back its strength to fully reclaim its home, Gelt has been working overtime in order find a way to permanently negate the Warp energy, thus undoing Chaos corruption with the aid of Teclis, they drink a lot of coffee, high elf stomach does not like it so he has to "exorcise" a a Great Unclean One from his bowels once every 3 to 4 days, I'm told, Gothrek finally got his death, his axe was returned to Karaz-a-Karak but it might be taken to Karak Kadrin & presented to the slayer king, but he said no.
Nagash is forever trapped in his pyramid after his crown was destroyed with Setra being unable to leave his lands, Malekith escaped via a warp gate & most of the dark elves are dead, while the high & wood elves are busy rebuilding, the Dwarves had kicked out most of there dark kin from there homes, with Ungrim Ironfist taking out Grimgore granted he still did not fulfill his slayers oath, Thorgrim Grudgebearer is still kicking granted now he has an iron leg, Belegar Ironhammer crushed Skarsnik's skull with his hammer, ironically, the Ogres are fighting one another so its good, a lot of Skaven were killed due to magical leylines being drawn in to resonance cascade from the Winds of Magic, like a huge amount, some dwarf rangers claim the Under Empire was greatly damaged, so its good.
The old grudge between the elves & dwarves has been settled, lots of Beastmen dead, the north men went home, my guess is that we have some like 200 year before this shit starts over again.

He thinks that End of Times is not so hot, even though it was officialized by Games Worshop. I think he absolutely did not like End of times (which I can understand, there are plenty of faults) to the point of being denied.

I'm awful at B&W stuff myself so I can't really say anything smart about your samurai guy, but the lineworks look good. One thing I'd complain about is that on the mecha one its hard to tell what's going on on the torso part, you should mess around with the line weight over there to show wich parts are further out and show the form better.

It looks good but its hard for me to figure out what the front pannels are used for, its something I very much struggle with myself, while designing think more about the purpose of parts/elements you put on there and how well it reads for the viewer instead of only adding things just "because they look cool". Another thing, the head is levitating, right? but the arms are attached with some wiring, actuators and such so it make the floating head feel random. It would really help if you'd put some kind of a device or even just a glowing circle on that flat panel below the head that would prove there is something that make it stay in the air. It would also put some orange on the torso because right now from the front, the oranges are only on the "limbs" while the mid part is solely blue with makes them look a bit disconected and the main part less readeble from a far. Other then that its a really cool design, reminds me of the later Final Fantasy games in a good way.
