Description
I submitted this under Darkroom, and not my usuall conceptual just because i added the texture effect to the photograph.Other than that, there is no manipulation.
I felt it gives the picture the same effect i love so much on the canvas print.
It adds some depth and character to the piece (tho i love it without it as well).
Infra red shot (Hoya R72) on Nikon 8800.
4 seconnds exposure.
I feel this one is very strong in mood and expression, what i really love about this piece.
I hope you would agree.

That IR certainly does add a lot. I couldn't help but notice the texture to it too. I need to buy a good camera and try some experimenting.

Unfortunately I can't see this in full view which is a shame because I just can't wait!
I can see the softness of the background against the detail of the tree. 
For right now.. all I can say is that I like the pearly white.. and the combo of soft and harsh. Like a dream..

well, i have one now it's the same like yours but i really dont know how to use it,
when i captured an image its only red colour all over the image, but how come your picture is not in red colour? did u change the colour in PS?

Infra red is not the same as red filter.
