I couldn't help but paint this after reading about Sally's fate in issue #230. As a fan of the character since watching the show as a kid, seeing her sacrifice herself to become one of Eggman's mindless robotic drones was the single most heartbreaking thing I've seen in a comic. Believe me, I was genuinely upset about it over the next few days, and I could relate to how the characters felt in issue #235. There are moments in the aftermath that were difficult to read, because seeing Sally helplessly serve Eggman and allow herself to be further mechanized was very sad for such a strong-willed and beloved character. In a sense, being roboticized is a fate is worse than death; at least death would be final and have some dignity in it. Being roboticized not only robs Sally of that, but is devastating to the people that care about her. I don't know whether I should hope that there's still a glimmer of her original self still present, because it may be better to spare her the horror of what she has to live through....Although we don't witness the exact moment in the comic, this illustration depicts Sally's last moments of free will as she is being roboticized and her final thought of love for Sonic.
Goodbye, Sally. We'll miss you.

Everyone who loves Sally got heartbroken on #230 and onwards... I share the same thoughts as you. A Robian still conscious, but without free-will, remember when Uncle Chuck was deeply saddened and avoided to talk with Lupe because he remembered when he put her on the roboticizer?

i am in issue 64 start reading more or less one or two weeks, at the beggining they were hilarus, have a ton of fun, then i admit somethingserius is nice and can be good, but betwen the difficlt to follow plot line, andi know robotnik will come back, but is starting to get like slow and kind of tedius, some say read from 175 up others from 50 up, dont know, what i know is there are awesome parts, hilarius parts but little by little the boring parts and slow are starting to mount, so question please dont tell methey use the lets reboot everithing to some kind of rare magic to justifie, we back to a corner and we cant come out

So wait, you mean to tell me that after all that thing where she was weaponized by Eggman, and almost seemed like she died right after everyone complained about "My God! What did that sicko Eggman do to her?" And where Tails explained what I said about her being weaponized, they actually found a way to de-roboticize her?
Is that true? That's what you're saying right? Honestly, I have never read the Archie comics, and I don't really intend to; to much time on my hands to do that unfortunately. Although, I do believe I'll eventually watch the SatAm cartoon on YouTube (if it exists on YouTube:/)

Mecha Sally wasn't deroboticized per se, rather the whole timeline was altered after the events of Worlds Collide and she was never roboticized in the first place. Since then, the comics have only gotten worse...

How worse? Also, after the worlds collide, you're saying it's as if none of this ever even happened? And even if it did, you can't seriously tell me that it would be impossible to de-roboticize Sally since a de-robotization process actually exists in the sonic universe, meaning it isn't as hopeless to revert Sally back to her old organic self as anyone thought. I do have a point don't I?

Yes, derobotization is possible, but Eggman modified Sally so extensively that some fans suspect it wouldn't have been possible. Before Worlds Collide, Tails acquired a biomechanical Krudzu plant that might have been reengineered to deroboticize Sally, but this idea was clearly inserted after the lawsuit with Penders and was probably not the writer's original intention. I suppose we'll never know the full truth.
