You've captured the essence of mothers perfectly! I bet it'll look even more stunning than it already is in a frame X3

One of the most beautiful and tender representations I've ever seen of Nature and Motherhood. Beautiful.

awwl so pretty! I love all the pictures of the children and husband & wife on the bonnet/hair thing. Watercolors are fun, I think you did a good job for a first try!

Thanks! The first try was for the masking fluid, not the watercolors. XD I've used watercolors a few times before, both normal watercolors and chinese watercolor painting.

Ah I misread hehe. I never used masking fluid, I watched a video of a guy using it once. It's like you just slap a bunch of white paint on the canvas before painting? Or maybe it was primer I was watching him ^_^;;

Yeah, you put it on before you paint and you have to let it dry completely. It's milky white, and you put in places where you want to keep white. You can do some amazing things with it. XD I just need to play with it more!

Well not much for me cause my mom is away in Arizona looking after her mom since she had a mass in her brain and being taken for brain surgery. So I mostly contact her through cell phone since I'm still in the Dayton, Ohio area completing one class in college.

UGH. I love it. It's absolutely perfect. I drew something for my mom as well, a picture of a mother and daughter taking pictures in a park, but it's not nearly as good as this... but it sends the same message! XD
I paint with watercolor occasionally, though not as much as I'd like to... :/ If you have any good hints, lemme know. I look up to you as an artist. :]

It sounds really sweet though! XD
I don't use watercolor much, so I don't know a lot myself. Keep the brush wet when adding colors and use a paper towel to pick up excess if you put too much down. If you make a mistake, immediately clean the brush and wet the area with water and pat it with a paper towel. It usually removes a lot of it. You might have to do it a couple times, though.
The permanent masking fluid is nice because I don't have to go over it with an eraser. But I've never used the temporary kind, so I don't actually know if I'd like it better or not.
I mix colors and overlap colors a lot, because I don't have many colors. For the skin, I used reddish-orange, yellow, purple, and very little white.
