This is the M27 combat blaster rifle, at semi and full auto this weapon is used to take on anything from battle droids to basic soldiers to elites with energy shields!!! used by the ODST corps it has a very high mag cap and is a very powerful blaster weapon. this weapon has a popout E-scope (more info on this scope will be up soon) this weapon also is compatible with the HUD TDS (heads up display Targeting display system) allowing the soldier to "fire from the hip" and still maintain effective fire on his target.this is the blaster rifle used in my masterpiece, a cross of all the best toys from star wars, mixed with the gear from real life, mixed with the gear from Halo, mixed with the gear from fallout 3!!!!!!!! this...will...be...MY EMPIRE!!!!! yeah ok this will just be dang near the most effective military ever made is all
please note that this is all made up, i am only doing a project to put those games together, and then add realism to is to make a BA military for kicks, enjoy! more info on this military will come soon!

But just think of the complexity required to make a coherent bolt of energy, and think of all the things that could go wrong. The more complex something is, the more likely it is going to break. I just dislike blasters in general.

ah, but a blaster is much more simple than you think, its not the blaster that forms the shot, the shot if formed in advance like a bullet and put into a mag for the blaster to fire, its pretty much a normal gun really

Then the shots are not actually formed yet. And I know about a little thing called "physics" that disagrees with you. The point is,energy weapons are not the best way forward. The physics behind projectile are well proven and will never be obsolete. Hell, even covenant plasma weapons are within the parameters of plasma physics. The physics behind this, are sketchy at best.
