The 4th Greater Drow Reichstag ( 1400 PE-1950 PE ) was an all Drow empire, much like the first Empire they had. They could not rely on Vassals or slaves anymore as history has proven time and time again that often they are unreliable and lack the experience that the Drows had held up to such high standards. However, this was the first time the drows had surfaced again, and built a nation on the surface peacefully instead of conquest-driven, much like the times before. They dedicated their time heavily both to militarization, and their cultural roots of the old elvish arts and sciences. As Magic began to dwindle from the planet, technology became their forefront, working hard to always stay one step above the other nations, both culturally and militarily. Their armies during this 4th Empire largely remained docile and unused, as they had largely decided to keep an isolationist and defensive policy, mainly due to some well placed paranoia that other Elvish nations would seek to rid the planet of their kind. Due to longer lifespan of elves, history and memory are almost the same, unlike the humans, with significantly shorter lifespan, they easily forget the past. The Drow nation used this to their advantage, working closely with neighboring human nations with trade and defensive alliances. They ended up creating a shield from their Elvish counterparts using their surrounding nations to bar access from possible invading armies of the Silver elves, Eucadians, and High elvish armies. This was the long peace. A peace that had lasted hundreds of years for the Empire, until the first great war broke out, their allied Nation of Dramiir was invaded by the Kingdom of Galbany.

This was the first time the 4th Drow Empire had to fully utilize it's military, quickly mobilizing it's forces and sending them to the front. The Empire had before this time, loaned out a few battalion sized elements to allied countries, and foreign countries that withheld it's interest. The returning soldiers from those fronts came back heavily trained and experienced, sharing their training and experience with those newer recruits, creating the first Sturmtruppen battalion in the war.

The Drow Empire ended up fighting a war that wasn't theirs, in a country far from their home
