Description Max seemed to always have to stand up for Sam when they were kids. It's pretty funny since Sam is a big dog compared to little rabbity Max. What would happen if Max couldn't handle the bully this time(theoretically)? Perhaps this is where Sam's alter ego was born.
What have I done to Max?!?

Not so theoretically, at least in the cartoons they seemed to be regularly beaten up by Mellon Hardgrease or whatever that guy was called o.O

But it DOES seem like Max coming to harm is Sam's berserk button...
