There are so many ways this picture could have gone wrong, but I somehow surprisingly managed to pull off a decent-looking picture!

This is, of course, a picture of Allen Walker from D.Gray-Man in his Crown Clown form! I recently got in to D.Gray-Man, it's so amazing! I look forward to more fanart in the future for it!

I'm kind of proud of how Crown Clown itself turned out... that was the first time I'd seriously colored metal and I studied a lot of pictures of random metal objects to see how faults in the material would cast light. Hopefully the final product works well!

It was also the first time I've colored a character who had a full head of white hair! It's a LOT different than coloring someone with brown or blonde hair! I kind of liked it, because there was more of a chance to play with colors, which I thought was really fun! If you couldn't tell, 300px brush with 15% opacity became my friend...

If you're a fan of the series, you'll also notice that I took some creative license over Allen's appearance. I gave him white eyelashes, figuring that if his hair had turned white, his eyelashes might have done the same. Also, Hoshino-sensei seems to have altered her own artwork to give Allen whiter features. This also explains his paled Akuma scar-- normally it's portrayed as red, but I wanted it to appear more scar-like, so I paled it up and made his skin pucker around the injury. It was fun and also another first... I've never done serious scars before either!

Overall, it was a good piece full of firsts! Lots of fun! Thanks Allen, for being such a good subject!
