Description   It's monday morning. I don't even have to look at my clock nor my calender to know what day it was. It felt like a monday. It was so monday that I could almost taste it. Almost taste the bitter pain and misfortune that is monday. Did I mention that I hate mondays? I hate it as much as that fat, orange cat from the comics in the news paper.
When the alarm finally went off I wrapped a pillow around my head, just hoping the loud noise would stop. To my disappointment it didn't. No one else was going to shut it off, since my parents had left for work. The only living things in the house were my cat, Rocko, and myself. I got out of my warm bed and shut off my alarm clock.
It took me a while to slowly make my way to the kitchen. I was so tired I almost face planted into my bowl of cereal. I'd done that so many times before.
At last I was done eating. I made my way quickly into the bathroom and started to get ready. I was thankful that I had taken my shower the night before, that saved me some time. I brushed my teeth as I listened to the music on my playlist. As I fixed my hair and did my make up I sang along to the music. That put me into a good mood.
Happy and ready for school I ran back into my room to get my backpack and check my cell phone. I smiled when I saw that there were two messages. The first was from Amy, reminding me that we were going to hang out after school. The other was from Jade, reminding me of our deal. My mood died a little.
I brushed it off and ignored it, then hurried to the bus. Amy had saved me a seat next to her.
"Well good morning," Amy teased, well aware that I wasn't awake just yet.
  "Ah, shut up," I muttered.
Amy shook her head. "So how was your weekend? Anything new happen?"
I shook my head. "No, not really. Just the usual stuff."
"You can't tell me now can you?" Amy whispered.
  "Bingo."
Amy sighed. "I swear to god, if you tell me any more bad news, heads will spin."
"Chill out, it's not all bad."
"'Not all bad'?! Are you telling me something bad happened?!" Everyone on the bus was now looking at Amy.
"Amy, calm the fuck down! Jesus!" I patted her shoulder a few times.
Amy cleared her throat. "Right. Sorry."
"It's okay," I replied. "Just don't over react. Everything is gonna be fine."
Amy just nodded and was quiet the rest of the way to school.
I looked out the window to see the large brick building of Amberwood High School, home of the Stingers. Surrounding the statue of Amberwood's mascot, a giant cartoon wasp, stood the football team and the cheerleaders. I could see Jade laughing it up with her friends and flirting with members of the football team. I rolled my eyes.
When Amy and I got off the bus we went inside to my locker. Once I opened it, a little folded piece of pink paper fell out.
"What is that?" Amy asked, picking it up.
I rolled my eyes. "How should I know? You're the one holding it."
"Oh, right." Amy handed me the paper.
I quickly opened it, finding it filled with girly hand writing. It was a note which said:

    Polly,
Meet me at my house after school. You can bring Amy if you want to.
  -Jade

"You have got to be kidding me," I muttered.
Amy grabbed the note from my hands and read it. "We have plans though! That bitch!"
"Oh calm down Amy. Just come with me."
Amy sighed. "Fine, I'll go. Hell, gives me a chance to see her house."
"Hey freak!" A voice yelled from across the hall.
I turned around to see Jade watching me, a large smirk painted on her face. She winked at me and then turned away.
"That girl still pisses me off," Amy whined.
I patted her shoulder. "Hey, think of a bright side."
"There is no bright side, Polly. We're spending our evening with satan."
I rolled my eyes. "Welcome to my world."
We both chuckled and sighed, then went our separate ways. My first class was English, a subject that I was indifferent to, and still am to this day. I could honestly say I had the worst fucking teacher in the whole school. But that's a whole different story that isn't really important. The only important factor is that he placed me at a table full of cheerleaders. That included both Jade and Sandy.
"Here comes Princess Gothica," Sandy sneered, causing the other cheerleaders to giggle.
"I'm not a goth. If you're going to insult me, get it right." I took my seat.
Jade went along with them. "Hey Polly, who did your make-up this morning? Vampira?"
I smirked. "Oh stop flattering me ladies. And, by the way, where did the two of you get those shirts? Slut-Mart? The Stripper Outlet?"
Sandy glared at me, like she was trying to set me on fire with her mind. "You better watch your fucking mouth ya damn freak."
The teacher came over to our table. "Is there a problem over here?"
Before Sandy even had the chance to open her big mouth, I responded, "Why not at all, sir. We were just complementing each other's wonderful taste in fashion. Wouldn't you agree, classmate Jade?"
Sandy's eyes hit the both of us like daggers. "Jade, say something."
I could see that Jade was under a lot of pressure. If she sided with me, Sandy could get even more pissed. She was frozen with fear. All she could do was nod, and that seemed to be okay with everyone. The teacher ended up walking away.
"Nice cover," Sandy mumbled. "I still don't like you."
"Then the feeling is mutual. I'm so glad." I rolled my eyes and started doing whatever it was that we did that day. I think it was a worksheet on grammar.
The day went on and on, and soon it was time to go home. Or at least I would have gone home if I hadn't found a second note in my locker telling Amy and I to wait by the entrance for her to pick us up in her car. And in case you hadn't figured this out, Jade's kinda stupid. So while she drove around a few blocks to throw everyone off her trail to come get us, she left us waiting almost a half an hour for her. And just to add to the fun of it all it was raining. All Amy could say the whole time was 'Stupid blonde hoe'. I got a laugh out of that. And a cold.
"I am so sorry!" Jade yelled from inside her car. "Hurry up and get in! You'll freeze!"
"I'm already cold, you dip-shit!" Amy's teeth were chattering as she got settled into the backseat. "How long does it take to get cheerleaders off your trail? Their stupid!"
  "Hey! I'm a cheerleader!"
  "My point exactly."
"Oh would the both of you shut up. Lets just get out of here. Being around the school this long is giving me the creeps." I shuttered.
Jade started driving off. "Look, my friends just wouldn't leave me alone. The wanted to talk, and if I said I was busy they would question my motives. I had to play it safe."
Amy was awestruck. "You're sneaky for a cheerleader."
"It's like a backwards 'Mean Girls' or something," I chuckled.
Jade rolled her eyes. "Not even close."
"How about 'The Twilight Zone'?" Amy snickered, patting my shoulder.
Jade took her eyes of the road and looked at Amy. "I don't see what sparkling vampires have to do with this situation."
"And the stupid cheerleader is back." I clapped my hands.
"Oh shut up." She turned her car into her drive way. "We're here."
The look on Amy's face was priceless. "This is your house?"
"Yes, it is. Now lets hurry inside."
If only I had known what Jade was up to at that moment.
