How are you getting on with the D300? I have a D70s and would "love" to buy one! Maybe if I get a patent bonus at work I could just afford it! Have to think of a good patent first! Oh well...

My youngest son was carrying it, about 5 metres in front of me and we were heading off back to the car, i looked over the bridge and just couldn't resist one more shot, and here it is

The D300, well, i've had it about a month now and i'm on my second one already the first one had a faulty sensor and was casting up ghostly shadows on the images, don't know why but this this a far better camera than the other one
I still like the D70s and still use it, saves changing the lenses too more mega pixels on the D300 gives you a great quality shot as well.
I still have a long way to go to get used to it tho, for instance, see a shot like this >> [link] this shot is straight from the camera using two graduated grey filters on my D70s, i can't get this from the D300 on the same settings, so a lot more experimenting needed i think
But heh, it is one helluva camera, i'm really pleased with it so far. I have also switched all my photography to shooting RAW (except work i do for one job) that has made a difference to any tidying up that is needed on the shot.
