Description
While elves have maintained the grace and speed of their deer ancestors, they also inherited their flighty nature. In response to this, the Firbolgs were created to be the guardians of nature. Larger, stronger, bolder than elves, Firbolgs aggressively defend their territories from any threat. To achieve their massive size and fearsome tenacity the ancient god of nature uplifted a now-extinct species of giant elk. Cumbersome antlers were bred out due to the unnecessary burden they pose for a sentient biped. Firbolgs are often solitary with a few individuals sharing a massive territory. Each patrols a different part of the land, rarely encountering one another. Months or even years can pass between meetings. Despite the span of their roaming, Firbolgs have the uncanny ability to know precisely when any part of their shared territory is under threat from outside forces and will immediately rush to defend it.
