Yah I do most of my digital stuffs in Photoshop. A rather powerful software for artist.
I think you just have to be sensative to the color tone and color combination used. Practice and take notice of things around you for inspiration, helps alot with the coloring.
From experience: Start with simple colors. You can start adding more color as you go along. Hope it helps.
