Part 35:- “Shit that’s Thomas!” exclaimed Terry. Daryl said “Yes, that’s Thomas, the group shot was taken about 10 years ago and the beach scene, 20 years ago”. “But that can’t be” said Terry, “I had S.. er... met him a short while ago and he still looks exactly the same!”...Daryl continues reading from the diary...”It seems Thomas, who kept this diary, made a deal with a malevolent spirit called Riak, who offered him eternal youth, but warned him that an execration would come into play if he didn’t comply. His part of the deal was to open this portal to the spirit world once a month to allow the dead to rise and feed off the living. It sounded bizarre, but easy enough, and a great deal. That was, until his father was offered a new job in another state. Thomas protested about the move but realised that it wouldn’t be long before his parents and the locals noticed he wasn’t aging, so he decided to leave home. Over the next decade he made secret monthly visits to the house, while he travelled around the country having a great time. When his parents finally sold the old house to the medical company he managed to get a job there as janitor. However, being young, forever, had its downside and he found himself being drawn into the drug scene looking for new experiences. This caused him to neglect his evil duties, so Riak applied the promised execration. Thomas retained his youthful looks during the daytime, but at night he morphed into that fiendish creature. The final entries are unclear but it seems that the fiend was gaining more control over Thomas and he was only able to revert to his normal self on rare occasions”.......”What a waste” voiced Terry. Paul though, was doubtful that the fiend was really dead and suggested that it would be a good idea to keep the jade cross handy in case that evil thing ever returned to their town”. They all agreed... THE END.
