I am a mediocre Star Wars fan, but absolutely love playing the games (Still need to watch the movies and read the books/comics haha), however this is a magnificent piece of work.

The overall vision is great. I see where you are trying to get at and what you are trying to aim for. However, it lacks Originality. I wouldn't really say that you need more originality, because I know you are basing it off of the Death Star and such, so I won't really dock you off majorly on the Originality. However, the technique is what threw me off. I didn't really understand the focal point, from a standpoint in which everything is right there. I remember when I first started image manipulating and the first thing my 'teacher' taught me was the rule of thirds. Of course, not everyone/everything has to follow it, but the image lacks depth.

Lighting is not so great, but still on par. I really didn't like the stars in the background, it seemed a bit harsh on the eye. Try blurring a tad to make it have a little bit of focal on the death star and the battle at hand. The edges on some of the renders seem a bit too harsh (as in the viewer can see a bit of white around some of the renders. Nitpicky? Yes, but it's just a pointer), try blurring the edges to make it blend in a little, but is optional.
One last thing is the explosions. I would love to see a little bit *more* flying bits of spacecraft appear out around the explosion. I love the technique used to demonstrate the 'explosion' but I believe it would look better with a little more pop.

In conclusion, I love the overall thought, the overall portrayal of a battle, but a little bit more depth would help the overall image.
