Eidolon foaled mid-morning, approx. 9:30am. Dark bay splash colt; splash paint markings, ermine spots on three feet; bald face with two blue eyes. Placenta a bit late to pass, did so without oxytocin injection.

I think we may have struck gold with this thing's mind. He's bright and energetic, with all the compulsive screaming gallop of his mother, together with the level-headed approach to life of his father. Physically he's pretty well put-together, and he's flashy to boot; here's hoping all this perfection isn't just a ruse.

By the way, he was named "Incongruous" because his dam, Eidolon, was named after a pagan (Ancient Greek) ghost-like entity, while his sire, Ibelin, was named after a Catholic Crusade-era castle. I thought it was a fun little paradox.
