If you make camp in a troll forest you better be prepared to be noticed.GIMP 2.6.1, from scratch. Real quickie, about an hour of work, using a crayon brush ([link] ) and working in the same style and technique of pastel crayons.
Made for a competition on gimptalk.com, with the theme "Winter night".

Looks really nice. I like how there's almost like a muted rainbow in the highlights on the upper branches. Adds a little extra bit of something whimsical.
