First off, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my good friend , hope you have a great one, luv. Anyway, this one's for her, cuz she loves her RPGs and particularly D&D, and she's got a thing for her Drow. Hence ...

To be honest, I really don't know very much about Dungeons & Dragons. Most of what I DO know is derived from when I was a kid watching the old (VERY fondly remembered) Saturday morning cartoon ... and the one and ONLY time I sat through that HORRENDOUS movie ... BUT, when I started hanging out on here and mixing with a whole bunch of friends who are really into it, I started getting curious, and if there's one thing that (no surprise, I'm sure) I IMMEDIATELY gravitated towards, it's the Drow. They're a fascinating bunch, I love how BADASS they are, and I've been wanting to have a crack at some Drow art for a while. So here was my opportunity ...

It was fun, but it DID take some work to get this right ... and even so, while I put in LOADS of effort, this is probably just a trial run for some later, BETTER Drow. Never mind - I think this turned out great, at least for some fairly static "design" work. The armour turned out just as great as I'd hoped (indeed, it's been a great learning curve, not least since this is not far away AT ALL from Fury armour ... ), the whole dark, moody, deadly look worked up JUST how I intended. Also, while purists may growl about the red mixed in with the classic white hair, I've seen plenty of VERY COOL redheaded Drow in my time and I just couldn't help myself. Besides, it helps give the figure some colour, since it is otherwise pretty monochrome ...

Anyway, hope our girl likes it. Again, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, lass!
