Description
This is a drawing of a certain subject of my obsession, Der Großmann (Der Grossman), or The Slenderman. As much as I love urban legends, this piece had to be done.According to legend, Slenderman stalks victims for years at a time and hides in nearby wells. I drew this whilst reading the book '101 Amazing Slenderman Facts' on my kindle. The text near the bottom is from a 15th century poem, which reads:
When a man of slender visits you
Nothing on Earth that one can do
In well he'll hide or watery hole
And he will eat your mortal soul
So if thou seest the man so thin
Pray you never see him again
For he is not from world we know
He cometh from far down below
On his bed of dirt from grave
From his dank and silent cave
He watches you yet has no sight
He taketh you away at night
Oddly enough, I've been having strange nightmares ever since drawing this piece.
