as CLU lookd out over the balcony,he observed the recently arrived heroes with a smirk"hello gentlemen.i gathered you here for one sole purpose.you will fight in teams of two,and one team will be pitted against another,in a fight to the death.ladies, gentlemen,i hope you're ready.welcome.....to the grid."he replied with proudness in his voice,as holes opened up underneath the heroes, and they were sucked in,to be armored in grid regulation suits.

i agree, hopefully they'll put him back in for the fifth game.(fyi, they set up the ending of halo 4 to continue the franchise,so i know there's going to be a fifth)let's just cross our fingers and pray that it's not going to become another sc-fi version of COD,like H4 was.so many noobs.*shudders*they...they came out of the trees.they took charlie man, they took charlie!

well they confirmed a second trilogy, my money would be on the precursors becoming important somewhere between 5 and 6, if not probably acting as cliffhanger for potential further games
in some ways i'm glad they said it would be a trilogy , and that means ( at least i hope) that the story has somewhere to go to
i would be disapointed if the story is too short, i know a the campaign was supposed to be longer , but lots got cut, from what i gather the Spartan ops were supposed to make up for that slightly, but its not the same
longer campaigns are a must in my opinion
(but then i enjoy long unwinding story lines like you get in Fallout and other RPGs, and i know not all FPS gamers want long plot's , but personally i like to see halo as something with story not just a mindless shooter)

precursors?what're you-oh!the forerunners.yeah,i see what you mean, but precursors = the jak trilogy and beyond, while forerunners = halo. i was somewhat confused.
i agree fullheartedly.not many halo games have that great a campaign any more, and i find myself playing halo 2 more than any of the newer halos.plus,it's RVB nostalgic.it's cool mate,i agree.skyrim and the other elder scrolls games got it right, but they left out the ability to monkey around with objects, like you could in fallout 3.(if you have done it before, you know what i'm talking about)man,i missed that when i made the move to skyrim.

well i'm not fully informed on all the details, but there are many indications that the prehistoric humans , who rivaled the forerunners technological status, and are thought by some to be the true heirs to the 'mantle' , these prehistoric humans had access to precursor neural physics technology of 'unbending filaments' a method of linking distant planets and systems , so they hit tier 0 on the scale of technological advancement
so it would be interesting to see what they can bring to the story with precursor technology
its pretty much confirmed that current humans in halo are no way near their ancient selves , so theres plenty of advancement they can make to raise up once more
i don't get much use of halo 2 much anymore, well not since i got aniversary which was a lot of fun ( glad they kept the old graphics for nostalgia purposes)

holy shit on a shingle.i think my brain just exploded.
it is an interesting concept,i must admit.i'd like to see it happen in the near future.but for now,we shall wait....for bioshock infinite.
oh,come on mate, don't tell me you don't get nostalgic from seeing blood gulch, and headlong.(well, blood gulch wasn't in halo CE anniversary, but you get what i mean)i personally didn't see much purpose in playing it(no offense,i just didn't like halo 1 very much)other than the reach anniversary multiplayer.

well i didn't actually play the halo 2 during its multiplayer times, i did enjoy the campaign though, and the maps for the multiplayer were good, i did the odd local game, but sadly joined the online community a long time after it was long past its prime , i think by then halo 3 had come along, and i never really played 3 online either, it was only reach and halo 4 that i've played on xbox live
i do however miss the dual weilding abilities that 2 introduced, shame it has gone now

what?you didn't play halo 2 during the olde xboxe live days?damn, that sucks bro.i have such fond memories of blood gulch and headlong.but ah,the fond memories of halo 2.alas,they haven't made an anniversary version of it yet.well, that's understandable, because the online lobbies were full of noobs at the time, that always bitched about wanting armor, but in reality they were too sucky at the game to obtain it.
i agree, they should really bring those abilities back in halo 5,if 343 doesn't decide to make another 'sc-fi COD' again.

well all online games have issues with noobs, i have found most games are fine its the players who can ruin it for me, from whiny kids on the mike to cheats , but in general i think halo has a pretty good player base
i have found halo 4 to be okay, i do get irritated when the entire enemy team uses active camo at the same time , but promethean vision balances that out so its not so bad i guess
i am glad they removed armor lock though

i know, but the older games are becoming more and more vacant, which surprises me.it seems the n00bz have a migrating pattern.as soon as a new halo or COD comes out, they swarm it like ants do sugar.
i feel that way as well,i think 343 put promethean vison in because it evened the score.sneaky little noobs, trying to get assassinations on me while i'm waiting out the battle(i'm not much of a fighter when the entire enemy team's being a troll.)
i know,it would be annoying as shit if they didn't.so,it looks like 343 did SOMETHING right for once.

chaos-sandwhich In reply to KyleShepard313 [2013-01-18 15:25:25 +0000 UTC]
seems that way, i would like it if the games had a more advanced level system, that would separate the noobs from the more serious players automatically in the lobby
its very good for certain maps, and i find it useful in dominion , as i can see whats waiting for me inside an enemy base
indeed, although i did find if hilarious when i would unload a full magnum clip into an enemy , and i need to reload, he goes into armor lock giving me exactly the right ammount of time to reload and set up for a perfect headshot , and if he'd just fought me like a man instead of hiding he'd have beaten me and got reload this

indeed
PV ( easy to say) is such a great tactical package, and great for team combat, as only one person really needs it, but if you communicate, everybody gets the benifit
theres one rather sneaky thin i learned to do, when i spy incoming ordinance, and i have a sticky detonator , i like to 'tag' the weapon drop which detonates the charge when they grab the ordinance , which results in a sneaky kill and a sinister grin , though it is a bit of an underhand technique i'll admit

KyleShepard313 In reply to chaos-sandwhich [2013-01-19 22:29:32 +0000 UTC]
but sadly, the noobs screwed that up because they want to improve.
therefore: LISTEN UP NOOBS,WE DON'T WANT YOU FUCKING WITH OUR MLG LOBBIES.GO AWAY.
indeed,i wish i had that in DayZ,it would make things so much easier come nighttime(dayz works like an actual day does,so whatever state server you're on,has a different time zone than your actual home town.)it's not too bad though,so far i've found some pretty swag stuff,so i'm good.
oooh, sneaky sneaky indeed!nice.i personally like to camp out the ordinance spawn, and when somebody comes by,snipe 'em,and grab the loot.(i'm a steady hand,so it's easier for me than most people.)

no need to hate bro, there's a reason cover is in the game. but if only 343 could get off their ass and install a cover system into halo.

I don't hate... just a bit annoyed. and they did install cover, heck they even made the Hard Light Shields are personal cover... though the Prometheans used it a LOT more effectively than us gamers.

KyleShepard313 In reply to Leviathantamer [2013-07-09 18:58:08 +0000 UTC]
hmm...... understandable. i guess you are right about that, but when using the hard light shield, you can't use any weapons, making you a vulnerable target. i'm talking about GOW, GTA style cover systems, where you can blindfire or aim from cover when you peek out from it. hard light shields are effective, and i suppose that you wouldn't need a weapon, in the sense you're opting for protection over offense. but if i remember correctly, they act like any other armor ability would. they have a countdown bar, and when the bar runs out, you're vulnerable again, which isn't good for a noob. doesn't matter to me though, very rarely do i ever use the HLS. i usually use a thruster pack, or promethean vision with my loadouts.

KyleShepard313 In reply to Leviathantamer [2013-07-10 08:17:07 +0000 UTC]
it would do 343 good to put that cover system in. it would save alot of fails of the weak clips from being overly common. that, and it would be all kinds of life saving for people who are pinned down by a sniper. i can't tell you how many times a sniper had me pinned, while his buddy finished me off with an assassination from behind. total dick move, but what goes around comes around.
