I have never seen or even heard of this animal before.
Otherwise, you certainly presented it very well.

I think evolution equipped them with the weirdest-looking facial feature ever: whiskers. I have to admit I never were a friend of the spaghettiesque things-on-a-face. I mean, the only animal that whiskers look faintly beautiful and cool on are cats, and they are cool just by not giving a damn about anything so the whiskers basically just get added to the equation. *cough* I seemed to have strayed off of my critique.
Anyway, the contrast is just right, almost too right if I had to say something. I feel it's a perfect picture of an animal and, and ... well, there's nothing more to it really. It's just an animal, in an ovation-sort-of stance. Maybe I just don't understand the concept of photography but I have to admit that I have a fetish for art having an idea (even though I know art can be as is without the idea, but still; opinions are never black and white).
Don't get me wrong though, it's a very amazing, if not even professional work what with the contrast and all, but it lacks the spirit, the idea, the very anima of the picture, if I may say.

Yes they get food from poeple every day. they are very tame. They eat out of your hand. Like ducks. The lake is in a town.
