overall this piece is absolutely gorgeous. the colours work perfectly and they stand out really well despite the lack of range in tones. my main critiques are on anatomy.
because of the shadow on the neck that doesn't start near the jawline, i think the viewer is automatically predisposed to thinking the body will be an over the shoulder shot, given that the size of the image and the general direction of the eye forces the viewer to read the image from top to bottom . so the view of the chest comes as a little bit of a surprise. the closest shoulder seems a little flat and stunted and the accompanying breast in turn seems a little low. i think that's because the nipple is turned toward the viewer too far, giving the illusion that the body is flattening out toward us. the far shoulder also seems a little bit on the round and low side.
the face, though, is rendered with absolute perfection. so good job on that. glad to see a new piece by you. :]

I think your critique is rather fair, but I'm surprised at your grading on the technique since that is what the suggestions in your critique most centered on...

the painting technique, i think, trumps the oversight in anatomy. the artist is a very capable painter as is apparent in the face and the overall rendering. it just looks like they didn't spend the same time on the body, imo. :]

Is that water colours or pastels? Either way, it looks great.

I love the soft colors, with the little dark spot inside the (viper?)'s mouth to make it eye catching. The overall effect is warm and comforting and a little bit mysterious. This would make a fantastic album cover :]

you always draw such lovely faces and this is definitely no exception. i'm pretty impressed with the economy of strokes in the hair as well! comes across as very full despite very few lines
