Hi everyone, It's been a while.By the way, here's a new Sentai series I've created. The show's title is "Yuusei Sentai Gunpeiman" (Eugenic Task force Armed-forces man". The motif of the series is Eugenics and Space exploration. It is set in the year AD 2396. It is also the first Sentai series with Gold and Silver as part of the core team.
The heroes of the series are all genetically enhanced humans with enhanced capabilities such as strength, speed, intellect and agility.
However, this new human breed is almost universally feared and hated by normal humans because they are basically considered another species that are a danger to normal humans because could completely overrun their counterparts any day. Thus, eugenics has been restricted to creating genetically enhanced humans for using them as expendable slaves.
They are not the type of slaves that build monuments or work on farms. They are basically used for such miserable operations such as acting as"human shields" for war, and being used as Guniea pigs in scientific tests. The creation of a genetically enhanced humans, without government approval, or to raise one as a normal citizen can mean an immediate death sentence, because such an action is seen as betraying your own kind.
Throughout the series, The heroes struggle for the freedom and rights of their kind.
This story element I've used is a form of commentary on a lot of things in Sci-fi that I personally don't agree with. For example, Eugenics in the Star Trek universe is made illegal due to the incident with Khan Noonien Singh. Additionally, In another Sentai Series, "Mirai Sentai Timeranger", Time travel has been restricted exclusively for police services.
The plot of the series follows a complex political storyline that involves the Earth, Earth's colonies, a swarm of alien space-bugs and of course, the genetically enhanced humans.
The series' theme song is by J-pop band Crystal King, who did the theme song for the anime of Fist of the North Star.
Heroes from left to right :
GunpeiGold, Nova.
GunpeiBlue, Aqua. The Second in command.
GupeiRed, Taishou. The leader and the show's first-person narrator.
GunpeiSilver, Digger.
Gunpei Yellow, Hana.
Taishou (GunpeiRed) is the only member with a given name by his parents. In the show's universe, genetically modified humans are not given names, since they are slaves and no one cares about them. When Taishou first met his team mates and made friends with them, he simply gave them names. Hana (GunpeiYellow)'s name means "flower" in Japanese.
The series' sixth ranger is Taishou's mother. Her ranger designation is GunpeiRose.
