This is all Dlin's fault, heehee. I don't know a thing about FF8, other than the fact that the main character is some scarred guy named Squall. But I drew this for an art trade I'm doing with her. (She's gonna draw me a nice Kenshin pic. Woohoo!) So seeing as I've never played this game, yes, I used references. A lot. Just about every FF8 pic I could find on the net. This site was particularly helpful: [link]I have to thank Dlin for choosing this particular character. After looking around at some online pics, I thought, hmmm.... he's cute.... Too bad I'm not into video games at all.
Other than the refs, this was done the usual way. Sketch to finish, completely on Photoshop. I have no idea how long it took.

This is great! And yes, he is cute. He has the best love story in all of Final Fantasy (in my humble opinion). If you ever start gaming, Final Fantasy 8 is a good starter.

This is the most beautifully accurate portrayal of him I've ever seen.
I mean, it fits almost perfectly with the image of him I have in my head- not just visual, but the expression, the background, his clothes, the colors... yeah. When I saw this one, I went all "It's HIM!".
