Not only was she beautiful, she was smart, brave, would stop at nothing to bring down the Empire, and she was a total badass, too!

Yeah, I think that's what made her so likable ehehe.
To think that she's technically a Disney Princess now o_o

Well, Disney's been trying to get in on the badass princess trope lately, but yeah, she's definitely one if not the only top one(There's alsoΒ Princess Eilonwy, from the Black Cauldron, but I don't think she's fired off as much as Leia has)

Well, it didn't help that the Black Cauldron bombed at the box office.

It's because of the Horned King, isn't it?...hoo boy...I mean, I consider the 80s to be the "pushing the envelope when it comes to kid friendly stuff" (since, looking back on some films I have kinda been like "How'd that not give me nightmares?" But..I think I could've handled that..

Well, there was also the Cauldron Born, the Horned King's undead army.

It kind of did, but then, as an adult, I went back and rewatched it.

It didn't scare me as much now as an adult, but I realized this is why the movie bombed.

Too scary for kids?...Yeah, I shouldn't be surprised about that, still a shame though.

Indeed.Β I think it was Disney's entry into the sword-and-sorcery genre that existed in the late 70s/early 80s.

Yeah...I hear you there...I have a lot of respect for the guy, believe it or not, I get that I like "Bendy and the Ink Machine" (which you felt was an insult to him), and I know a bit about some of his "Dirty Laundry", but he's still a genius, and I have to respect that...

(Still makes me wish you'd give that game a bit of a chance, it's a fun one to play, I also feel that it doesn't make references only to Disney either)

Eh...Steam's easy enough to get (and the platform's free too, though it kinda doesn't mean a lot, since it's the games themselves that have a price tag).
There's always Youtube too.

My point is, "Don't worry so much that something like that would be insulting to Disney, to tell the truth, I think Disney himself would love it, just because it's good storytelling, besides, they don't just reference Disney in that, they reference the animation industry in the 1920s and 30s in general"
