...Huh. This is quite wallpaper-worthy. Very nice. And yet -- I hate to say it -- but there's one thing that's confusing me. That one thing being the shadows. It's really really hard to notice unless you look closely, so it's not a big concern, but the shadows are making it hard for me to tell whether the lamp/light source is behind the counter, or in front of the counter. At this, I shrug.
Feh. That aside, I must inquire about the something-of-a fan art competition you mentioned on Smack Jeeves. (Ugh, I'll never get used to that name, "Smack Jeeves". It sounds as if the site itself is requesting someone to -- oh, I don't know...bitch-slap a butler. But, moving on...) For one thing, is there a deadline for when we should be turning stuff in? For another, is there a particular limit on what we turn in? "Fan art" is art, yes, but does it have to be digital? Or can it be traditional? Should it be only one image? Or are there really no limits on whatever the hell we shove towards you as long as it can be sent to you through the email you gave us? Blah blah blah?

Oh, and one last question before I get bludgeoned in the head with a squirrel for my blathering or something else equally unlikely. That "Mask of Seraphim," as featured in chapter one...What would you call that? An ancient mystical/magical artifact, er, what? 'Cause I'm not sure what to call a thing that can give a horse "seven celestial wings of fire." Steroids?

The light source, right over the counter, though some things were switched around during the creation process to better suit composition, so source light be a bit 'off'. Very nice critical eye you have. I must have it. *super villian laugh*
I fully agree on the "Smack Jeeves" name. C'mon, it is ridiculous. It is bad enough to type such a silly name, but when spoken out loud... One just sounds like an idiot.
No real deadline set yet. When I get closer to a release date for the first chapter print, then I will give a heads up that the contest is nearing a close. For now, I am looking for anything you can e-mail me (does not have to be just digital). And no limit! Send it all, baby!

Uh-huh. Long winded responses. Indeed.
Oh, and no matter how much trouble or how many headaches they get me into, I quite like my critical eyes...In my head, thank-you-very-much. You'd need much more than just your meager bludgeoning squirrel to separate me from them! Besides, without them, I wouldn't be able to point out all those little but important details that everyone else usually misses, or doesn't mention. For example, it seems that once the second chapter of Plume started up, you've been making use of textures much more often within things such as skin and clothing. Also, even before then, you've done more with gradients, especially within that screentone-dot pattern you use. It's all quite nice.
As for "Smack Jeeves," well...Better the name be idiotic than unoriginal, eh? Eh? And it could always be worse...They could have named the site "Smack Alfred." Just imagine all the angry Batman fans...
Doesn't make it any better though.
Now, I'll see what I can do for fan art, yet, I make no promises. My ideas aren't exactly all that...Erm...sane, (I wonder how Corrick would feel about fighter planes...Or Leprechauns.) and, well...yeah...
Ah! And, as a random question for me to ask, is your hair blond? If so, what color are your eyes? Just curious... *diabolical plotting laugh*
