Tried to take a portrait of him with a neutral background.

What a cutie! I just love all the hair he has, that's just too adorable. My Welsh springer has an extra tuft of fur on his head, but it's nothing compared to your pup! XD

Oh cute, you've got a Welsh Springer
I love this breed, first we wanted a Welsh Springer, but they aren't so many breeder in Germany, so we decided for a Cocker Spaniel And my Charly is a typical Spaniel, hoggish and stubborn, but he loves to smooch and to be ourdoors

Yes, I love my Welshie very much, I had to wait a bit to get one from a good breeder, but it was definitely worth the wait. I adore cockers, though, and have often considered getting an English cocker one day!

Haha, sound very much like Taran's(my Welshie) personality. He can be quite the trouble maker and is spoiled rotten, but I can't help but adore him. XD

In Germany, there was only a few breeders, maybe six. We phoned them all, but all puppies were already booked or assigned and we should wait 2 years for one puppy. That was a bit too long, so we decided for a English Cocker Spaniel and picked him up at the beginning of the summer holidays, perfect time
A Welsh Springer will be always one of the favorites and wish list
I can't live without a dog anymore! Hopefully in the future, I can have some dogs

I guess, it is their typical personality of Spaniels and Springers.
My dog loves water, he could swim everywhere, sea or lake. Good for him, that we are family, who drive every summer to the beach
He also loves to run, when I ride by bike. He has a speed and condition!
Do you do some dog sports with him?

Ah yeah, the waiting list for Welshies here can be pretty long. I was prepared to wait a year or two for mine, but I just happened to get really lucky and found an excellent breeder who recently had a litter and still had an available pup.

Surprisingly, though Taran can be quite hyper and active when he wants to be, for the most part he's a bit of a couch potato! XD I tried out some sports with him, including agility and a bit of obedience, but he really wasn't interested in those things. I think he much prefers being a spoiled house dog.

Haha... oh yes, the same here, Charly is a real couch potato, too. He lies or sleeps on our couch and always on mine
We also tried agility and obdience, but he lost quickly the interest. He likes more sports which demand condition, speed and power Like 2 hours long bike tour.
But he never brings the ball or stick back! I have to lure him with a treat

haha. My pup loves having his hair fussed over xD I used to joke that we need to gel it into a Mohawk. We've had so many people make comments when we take him out places xD I love how bleached looking your dogs is :3 So pretty.

Haha, yes!
Some people ask, if we dye his hair, because it so blond on his head and on the boody red But we would never do this!

He's gorgeous. It looks like he's wearing a wig or something. Kinda looks like a surfer dude, ya know? He's super cute.

Hahaha it would! I think it's so cool when people train their dogs to surf! He would certainly suit the role!

HappyRaindrop In reply to LaceX-Foxypowow [2012-02-24 08:59:11 +0000 UTC]

I would like to train him, too
But I don't live near the sea, so there is no chance.
Anyway, we go often for a walk to a lake and he always goes in the water, he loves that

Aww that's awesome. I take my dog to the park and she just loves running through the fields.

Mine, too. If I let him off the leash, he is gone. He is running and running
I also take him sometimes with me, when I'm cycle
He can run 20km (could be 12,5 miles) in a normal tempo, not to fast of course We always out at least 1 hour.

Do you do some dog sports with her?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

LaceX-Foxypowow In reply to HappyRaindrop [2012-02-25 22:00:47 +0000 UTC]

We mostly just run together. She's hard to handle on a leash so I haven't tried doing much else with her. But dogs are amazing. It's so much fun to play with them!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

HappyRaindrop In reply to LaceX-Foxypowow [2012-02-26 10:32:37 +0000 UTC]

Haha... okay
Mine is also not the best on the leash. He only pulls a bit when we go to the field, but after his running when we go home, he can go without being on the leash and he stay by me. That's delightful!

I couldn't live without dogs anymore.
Yes, your right. But mine never brings the ball or the stick back to me, I have always to lure him with another toy or treat.

Awww, well ain't he a stinker? My dog always brings the ball or stick back. But she is part retriever.

Yep! When she's all tired out, she definitely stays by me, probably in hopes for a treat!
