Description So far, the most complicated construction I've made...

The blade on this knife is made of 3 bars of steel, from back to edge you can find : wrought iron, 8 layers pattern welded twist and 1.3% carbon steel
For the handle, I've used bronze, bog oak and a piece of mammoth ivory.

The sheath is made from veg tanned leather, bronze, and tined copper.

----------------------

Wow this is extra beautiful! Do you remember how many times did you twist the middle bar to achieve that beautiful pattern?

Thank you !
I have absolutely... no idea ! I twisted it by instinct, I can just tell you that I twisted it as much as my nerves allowed it, the ridges were about 2mm apart, maybe 3 top.
But if you wanna try, I advice you to round your edges with a fine belt (around 200) to avoid cracks and delamination... and work HOT

Yeah, I know what you mean. I had the exact problem, when I twisted it too many times it simply broke of
Hmm... I will try rounding it as you say Maybe it will help. Thanks a lot!

I made another multibar blade yesterday and I can confirm you the density of the twists, once again, with the edges rounded on a worn 180 grit belt, no issue
