This is awesome! I am currently enlisting in the Air National Guard and Pararescue is truly an inspiration. I hope one day I'm good enough to be part of their ranks.

My grandfather recently passed away. He was in the Royal Artillery, and we've just begun to find all his war things - photos of him and his buddies back in the war, money he brought back with him (including 110,000 Deutschmarks, marked 1923!), his medals...it's amazing, and quite moving. People just have no respect for what these brave men and women do any more.

I agree, many people dont know what its like to fight or to live through battles fighting for your country. They are spoiled by the freedoms that those who fight give them, many people are ungrateful and things like this piss me off. I have not yet have the oppertunity to fight and serve for this country, but my plans are to be a pararescueman, so that others may live. thank you for serving this country and for putting your life on the line so that I can have the freedoms I do, and im greatful for your grandfather as well, though he was in the British side of every thing we were in aliances there for he still served for us.

i agree, and the one with the big mouth, the one that said F*** you america has no right to say that. They better be thankful that they can even say something like that with out getting killed for it. Ohhhhh! it makes me so mad these days. Some people have no heart of respect for the men and women who are rissking their lives for us.

Woah mama, I ain't no PJ. No secret there. I know a couple of serving PJs, but that's the closest I'll ever get. I play airsoft and do re-enactment at various military shows - nothing more.
I have the greatest respect for those who serve, though. I don't think there's anyone I respect more, to be honest.
Anyway, the pic was of a training exercise I believe. Quite regular to take a few guys and make them 'play dead' for the purposes of training.

Your welcome to, My father used it once when we went to D.C. to visit lost friends. I don't know the circumstances behind it or if it was his quote or one he had heard somewhere tho.
