"Ow," Hex muttered as he down another spoonful of the mess down his throat. He thought his throat would now either be numb to the pain or so scarred that no feeling could possibly register. But no, it still felt like hundreds of slimy burrs crawling down his esophagus.

He had grown over the past hour or so, his massive gut and thighs making his clothes feel tighter than normal. The cape that originally reach to around his feet now only hung down to his calves. His face felt fuller, his arms beefier and he had begun to see breasts rise under his shirt. The band that contained miniature seerstone that he wore around his neck was still in place, though it was visibly rising from the fat that was underneath it.

"Halfway there," he sighed, "Do I have to do this everytime I screw up a potion?"

"Yes," the adder said, "Magical ethics and all that. But I will say this: you at least tried to create a more complicated concoction. It takes years for most sorcerors to reach this level, not because it's impossible to make, but because the risk of failure is incredibly dangerous. So the fact that you, at your age, were willing to try to make such a high-level solution like the Satyanis is admirable."

"But I messed up," Hex sighed, his head bowed, "I wanted it to work and I failed."

"Failure while trying is better than not trying at all," Lazarus consoled him, "An alchemist may fail to make gold, but he also learns how not to make gold. Thus, he is taught something. To simply not attempt an act because you fear that you will bungle it is cowardly at best and pathetic at worst."

"So... I should try it again?" the English sorceror smiled a little.

"Of course. You'll get the hang of this, Hex."

Hex breathed and felt a small rip begin to form at the base of his shirt, which rested snugly above his navel.

"Well, back to work." And he got another spoonful.

Third pic in 's OC series. Liked making this. I learned throughout that I'm getting a little better at drawing snakes. Yay.
