I've always been fond of Thoth. And who wouldn't since he is the Egyptian God of such cool things as writing, science, magic, librarians and other things near and dear to my head. I've always liked how Thoth is shown not as a classic Sacred Ibis but as an bluish green colour, ie the colour of magic in Egypt. It adds a nice touch. There are things I'm not too happy about in this one and things I like a lot. Pretty typical
The background carving is from a photo that we took on our trip to Eygpt. Nice to use some of the photos finally! The jewelry is all authentic and the scroll is from the Book of the Dead.

The blue head was a nice touch - I'm trying to imagine him with a white head, and it just wouldn't look right. The blue just brings your attention to him.

Lovely work of art, even though it's four years old. I especially enjoy the detail of Thoth's head, as well as the chosen colors. Have you heard of the Book of Thoth? If you haven't, look it up.
Besides Thoth, which other Egyptian gods do you like? Horus? Ra? Osiris? Sekhmet? Anubis?

I like all of your Egyptian pieces, but I would say this is my favorite of all I've seen. You don't see too many Tahuti images at all, and this one is vibrant.
