YAY I finally finished it!!!one of my entries for the temerairie contest being held by Naomi Novic, this is temerairie apologizing to a beached serpent for killing that one in the second book

The only thing right now I can see I want to say anything about is the eye of the green dragon that I think IMO It looks too lively for a dead creature and the graysh color inside it's mouth if it was little darker the fangs will have been more "frightening" for the effect of coming out from a dark big mouth.

The muscles are really impressive and the little details on face like teeth and scales, moustaches (don't know if it's a correct this very word for animals sorry if it's wrong)

Don't know how you made this if a hand-sketch or directly on pc but IMO it looks great ^_^

lol the serpent isnt dead yet its just kinda slowly dying there so i had to make it look somewhat like it had some focus. and thanks for pointing that out with the mouth ill try it and see how it looks.

Amazing doesn't evin begin to describe this, but I did notice it somehow looks like Temeraire has two shorter tendrils on his left side on the top, and one long one on his right.

Wow! This is very similar to my own idea of what Temeraire looks like. I've been scrolling through images of him for a while, and this is my favorite depiction of him so far. You did a wonderful job capturing emotion in his pose, too.

Temerairie there looks great, and so does that huge sea serpent, lying next to her,apology or not, that serpent looks as though an apology, is the least of its worries the way it looks down at her hehe, poor serpent is going to last too long being stuck there, lets hope the tide comes in soon

I'm terribly sorry for the trouble, but when you submitted it to temeraire fans, even though I approved it, it didn't seem to come through. You're going to have to submit it again. Unless there is some sort of way to re-locate pending requests, but you would have to ask another mod about that.

This has got to be my favorite Temeraire fanart ever. Seriously. The way you did Temeraire's face is exactly how I picture him. The serpent's teeth and eye are amazing.
And the concept... LOL.
I just think Temeraire just seems a little small, or the serpent seems a little big. I'm not complaining at all, but, being curious me... *looks up sizes* If a regal copper is 120 feet long, that makes Temeraire 90-110, and if I'm remembering right the serpent he killed was a bit over 250 feet, so he'd be less than half its length. I think the serpent was about 20 feet wide, and if Temeraire is 100 feet long he'd be 25-30 feet tall. Huh, so it's actually pretty close to accurate. Wow, I was imagining the serpent much smaller compared to him.

lol i thought of that too....buuut it was after i was more than halfway done and when i tried to resize it it, tammy just covered up the serpent completely and i would have practically had to start all over

The only thing i have to say, is that it lacks blood.I remember the battle from the 2nd book, and i remember that the serpent killed few people, so itΒ΄s skin should be covered with blood splashes. also, temeraire lacks any sign of blood from the battle, and as far as i remember, the serpent was killed in the sea, not on the land, so it would suit better if the sea serpents body was floating on water wit temeraire hovering over it.
but the picture is enjoyable to look at, not many profesional pictures of temeraire are there, and the seaserpent is pretty much what i have imagined it like. itΒ΄s little details that make art really amazing.

mmmmm.... did u read the description? lol, its not the same serpent its just one that was beached somehow and temerairie is just kinda spilling his guts to it, im a pretty big fan of the series so i kinda know what happened.
