They are gumpaste flowers it was ALOT of fun to do. Basically you roll out the dough and u can free hand or use cookie cutters to cut out the shapes then we sued some colored dusting powder to add the accents to make them really 'pop'

They are beautiful. I can only make the basic frosting flowers right now, but I'm planning on taking a gum paste class.

What is the topper made out of? It kind of looks like royal icing or pastillage or something of the kind.

Its is actually a pastillage peice with royal icing piped in a cornelie lace type design and hanging over the edge. Thank you!

Gorgeous cake, and yeah, gum paste is definitely a pain
