Description Blame for this one...Rawhide was born the instant I saw Taurus from his Zodiac Girls. It had never occurred to me before that point that cow-girls could actually be sexy instead of bizarrely freakish looking, and I HAD to try to make on of my own. Of course, since I was trying to round out the roster of "Project Wildheart" at the time, she naturally became a "newbreed" (the PW term for "mutant"), although she originally had whiplike tentacles that came from her hands (ie. Rawhide whips...eh, I overthink things).
She was a natural to put on the "Wild Knights" roster because of two big reasons...her powers and her personality (what's you think I was talking about?). I am a HUGE She-Hulk fan, and that's what Rawhide is, the team's She-Hulk: physically stronger than pretty much everyone else (which pisses Pride the Hell off), but confident, smart, and funny. She grounds the team and keeps their varied psychoses from overtaking the missions, plus she provides a necessary bit of comic relief, such as when she answers Gloryhound's innocent question about what the animalians do for milk by clearing her throat and crossing her arms suggestively under her chest, much to his horror.
She also provides a third function, a way I can poke a little gentle fun at the reputation the furry fandom has with the general public. See, I want the "Wild Knights" to appeal to as wide an audience as possible, and part of that is realizing that not everyone has the furry mentality about animal people being automatically sexy. Gloryhound, as a human in a furry body, provides the "outsider" connection, while Rawhide allows me to address my own issues with it, like how, in a period of less than 10 years, did it transform from a metagenre of sci-fi and fantasy literature into a borderline religeon and nationally recognized sexual kink?

Cool Idea.
And I agree. Theres much more to anthropomorphism than sex, and there are quite a few animals that do not translate well into humanoids.

Amen, Heck. Amen. Very choice design on the shirt, lol. Remind me sometime to show you a furre of mine that doesn't quite fit the norm, either.

ROTFL! Man, I can just SEE that in my head... and the smile she gives him in response XD I liked her as a character before, but she's quickly becoming one I'm looking forward to seeing more of, heh (aside from Foxbat, of course).
