About the Photo:Model: My mom's hand
Object: My grandmother's pearls.
Concept: To give, the karma implicated in receiving is to give; the idea of loving, caring... and also the idea of like we say in Portugal, sometimes one does "give pearls to pigs!" which I hope is not the case of what I'm doing here on dA... I've been questioning it these times...
Dedication: This goes for every loving, caring and giving person, especially to ~picworth1000wrds for being a true deviant... Even tho she's new on dA she already understood the real dA spirit and she lives by it! So go on, visit her and give her a kiss or a hug from me!

...the symbol of your picture of the pearls in your hand..sharing them..means so much to me, I too was honored with pearls from a very special person in my life...
from the time that I was a little girl...the dream to be so blessed was always in my heart and mind...
yet the era that I grew up in was one of 'freeness', one that I think much was lost as other things were gained...
I had a lost love came back into my life and he shared hopes, dreams and more love than I had ever felt before...and then was lost again when he crossed over...yet he left behind tender moments and symbols of his love that others can/could see...
someday I will pass my pearls on, but they will have to be to a very special person...because they have only been touched by love..

I love this. Makes me think of the work by Johannes Vermeer. The lighting is similar to the lighting in his painting and same with the colors. At least in my opinion. (Girl With A Pearl Earring) I hope you don't mind me comparing it to his work. But that is what it made me picture in my mind and I love that about this photo. I really like the light on that picture and the concept behind this picture.
First I would have thought about enhancing the pearls a bit more, I mean the white and maybe adding some brightness and glow around it but then naaaaa... it is really good like this, natural and pure ^^

when you give pearls to pigs you are waisting pearls. it talks about a wasted effort that happens when a person is giving an advice, a gift, love, etc. to others that don't give it's value, tho people that don't appreciate that effort, that giving nature.. it's like giving pearls to pigs, really. go to a barn and find a pig. offer him a pearl. lol he's a pig, a pearl for him isn't precious, but for you and who understands you it has value!
