Eraqus and Yen Sid are both Moonstones.
Mickey is a Ruby, Goofy is an Emerald, and Donald is Pectolite and based on that bird gem seen in SU homeworld gem concept art. (Budgerite)
All Xehanorts are Obsidians.

Ansem the Wise is Gold and also evil and insane and wants to experiment on Roxas, Xion, and Sora. Luckily Roxas defeats him, but Roxas loses Xion's shards and becomes corrupted in his despair. He saves Sora because Sora is the only gem left in the facility with his full shards, and Roxas hopes this spinel has friends to return to, unlike him.
Xehanort lies to Vanitas, saying Ventus simply "left" because he doesn't want to see him anymore. When the truth is Xehanort is the one who broke Ventus and gave him to Eraqus.
(Xehanort abused both Spinels. It is here Vanitas is given to Replica Riku. Vanitas feels betrayed by Ventus for leaving him alone and wants revenge / is desperate to fuse with him so Ventus will never leave him again.)
(Xehanort wants to experiment with fusion, trying to find a fusion that might make a diamond, while Ansem the Wise wants to break gems and fuse them in a different way as well as corrupt them to turn them into powerful machines/monsters.)
