Description
This is a kid safe version of my other deviation. I was loathe to just change the original, because the stark nature of the hermaphrodite was so pivital to the final image, but I also think it's bunk that anyone under 18 can't see it just because of a penis and nipples. So, I'm uploading the 'clean' version here in my scraps and linking.Just keep in mind that this is not a woman, nor a man, but a delightful balance of both. :3

I just love this. The look on the creature's face and just the pose and anatomy... I love the whole look and feel. A definite favorite.

Yeah I hate the mature content thing, I mean, we see nekid stuff all over the media anyway, its not like I haven't seen it before. Regardless, this picture is awesome, I like the fact that you involved the "creation" idea into it.

Wow, the "kid friendly" version really doesn't portray the same tone and meaning and emotion as the original. Without the penis, you really can't tell its supposed to be neither a male nor a female, especially since you only have the breasts. I like the original a lot better.
Whatever the new rule is, it sucks if it would make artists edit their art so much just so everyone can view it. The human body is an artistic and beautiful thing and its a shame that even in an artistic atmosphere like this people STILL want to hide it. Its not like its even showing anything sexual...

I was FURIOUS when a few days ago, I signed in and could no longer view art with the mature content filter on. Does DA honestly expect me to wait 3 years to see it? It's positively stupid. This isn't pornography, it's ART. Would they dare to censor Michelangelo's David because the figure lacks a leaf to cover himself up? It's silly. *fumes*
Did DA even explain why? I couldn't find a link anywhere, although I expect that's because I tend not to notice things like that. xD
But enough ranting from me, this really is a beautiful piece. :3

Seeing as how we end up seeing what a penis, vagina, nipple, etc looks like in (at the very least) grade 5 health class, I don't see why it's such a big deal ._.

thanks so much for being one of the considerate people and caring about us under-18-year-olds who still appreciate good art! no matter the amount of blood or lack of clothes! I guess it's hard for the 40 somethings who run this site to understand that real artists (no matter what age) can be mature and see the symbolism in art, and most artists dont just draw a picture of something naked for the hell of it, they have layers of symbolism behind it.
Like your, the life giver being a hermaphrodite, Both a male and a female, it symbolizes the unity of Man and woman to create life, or the fact that a "deity" would have to have both male and female characteristics to be a creator.
lol well that's just what it means so me, I'm still sad I cant see the original.

It is a disgrace that under 18's can't see your real art. It's like... putting up a segment of an image rather than the whole thing.
There is emotion and meaning that is lost through having to "censor" your art.

Actually I really like both. I like the concept of the "adult version" as being a balanced mixture of both sexes, and really just overall, this is a pretty beautiful peice, reguardless!

I don't think you should have to mature content the other one. Its not porn, its art. It becomes porn when the subject is in a position that is considered sexual

Wasn't there a time when "mature" content was classified simply as a form of pornographic material, such as sexually suggested items... now it's anything depicting any natural body part, scientific, figure/art or otherwise. Next thing you know, they will be putting tape over old Greek statues and blurring out books and posters is the science labs.

I'm so sorry that you had to edit the image in order to show younger viewers this piece. I love your concept behind the original. I understand where they are coming from with the rule, but its totally not fair in cases of actual tasteful artistic nude... O.o i dont really think the genitalia is going to melt your eyes/brain if you arent quite eighteen. OMGPENIS*DIE*
Its not fair that not everyone is able to see it the way you intended. Though, of course... this version is absolutely just as stunning. I hate to see you forced to edit your ideas (though it fills me with glee that you care enough about your fans to edit it so everyone has a chance to enjoy your beautiful work, either way)

kid friendly versions always bugged me... I mean, what's wrong with the human body, anyways? And besides, what is really changed by hiding the nipples? Seriously. That Spears video where she's wearing like nothing but there are stars over her nipples... how does that change anything?
but ya... I never understood it. My parents are the good kind - the kind that answer all the questions without getting all awkward and don't care when I see a statue of a naked person no matter what my age is. So when I went to the art gallery and all the kids made a huge deal out of everything, I could never understand. Teacher once saw me admiring a statue rather than freaking out about it and asked me what I saw that the rest of them didn't - I shrugged and said it was a person, and it must have been hard to do in copper, and I didn't know why the rest of them couldn't just see it's amazingness.
