Description Made this for the 1st place prize of a giveaway I had back in January for my tumblr followers.  The winner got to pick the colors.  She's very soft and the arms are fun to play with because I left the top parts unstuffed.  They're also weighted with plastic pellets as are the legs.

This looks amazing! Do you have a place where you can by them, like etsy?

And yep!  Sure do.  ^^  www.etsy.com/shop/HobbyGobbyDe…
I don't have any premade foozles in my shop right now, but I do have a listing for a made to order one available (and I'll be adding a 15% off coupon code momentarily to my shop for use during black Friday through cyber monday).

Hehe, I actually thought of woozles too when I named this things.  And yup, the face is done all by hand.

Holy incredible patience and dexterity, Batman!

Nah, the face isn't what takes patience.  It's having to sit and pick out all of the fur from the seams.  THAT's what takes patience.

True, true.
Say, how did you learn to make plushies, anyway? I'm trying to, but figuring out what shape on fabric will turn into which shape when sewn kills me!

I started making simple two sided plushies before I transitioned into working of 3d shapes.  I'd suggest looking at other people's patterns and try and figure out how they made certain shapes work.  Also, you should really get the book "Stuffed Animals from Concept to Construction".  There are lots of patterns and such in there, but more importantly the lady helps to teach you techniques you need to know to to design your own patterns.  The stuff she posted on her blog before writing the book helped me to understand how to design belly gussets, darts, etc. all of which is in this book.  There is loads of helpful stuff and it's only around $20 I think.

What kind of fur is this?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

HobbaGobwin In reply to Conva [2014-02-15 20:28:39 +0000 UTC]

It actually isn't fur at all.  It's a long pile minky fabric www.fabric.com/buy/db-346/mink… .

Nah, I really doubt that many people would have known that and it does look sorta like fur.
