Description
"I hate you Caghro," Alkei gasped, racing along the dirt road. The yelps and vicious barks of dogs could be heard behind them.
"I love you too Alkei!" Caghro smiled, his paws pounding against the hard ground as he ran.
Alkei snorted and continued sprinting far away from the concrete building that had kept Caghro hostage.
A fork appeared in the road, and both cats swerved towards the left, catching sight of what looked like a town in the near distance. They continued on, pushing their muscles to the limit as the dogs approached. The ground beneath them soon turned to asphalt as they approached the town. It was a dull, concrete area, with grunge smeared grey buildings and a rancid smell of urine.
An alleyway appeared ahead, and they both darted into it. A metal mesh gate, behind a black wheelie bin blocked their path. Without a second thought, Caghro lept up onto the bin, then over the gate, landing inelegantly onto the ground, then collapsed, panting for breath as he waited for Alkei to follow.
Alkei's landing was smoother, but he quickly collapsed too. As they both lay there, panting, they could hear the dogs being stopped. Angry voices of humans and then the scared yelps of the dogs convinced the two cats that they were safe.
After catching his breath, Alkei sat up and started licking his bleeding pads. "I can't believe you were stupid enough to get caught." He said.
Caghro stayed lying down, but turned to face his companion, "I can't believe it took you 3 days to rescue me." He smirked.
Alkei snorted, "You mean, you can't believe I spent a whole 3 days enjoying myself without you."
"You say that, but I know you missed me." Caghro flashed a smile, his eyes amused.
Alkei turned his head, disgusted, and continued onto grooming himself. After a short pause, Alkei turned to face the ginger tom again, "Where did you get that?" he asked, pointing his nose towards the red, hairless patch on Caghro's left shoulder.
Caghro sniffed, "They burnt a shape onto me with a ridiculously hot piece of metal. All the others had them too." he muttered, and seemed to wince as he remembered.
Shocked at how pained Caghro looked, Alkei sniffed it, concern burrowed deep on his face. "Does it still hurt?" He asked, panic and worry in his voice.
"Not any more," Caghro's expression slowly became that of a smirk. "Told you you loved me really."
Alkei stared, unamused, at Caghro, "I hate you Caghro." He muttered once more, and curled up, his back facing his companion, to go to sleep.
Caghro got up and moved closer to Alkei, lying down next to him, wrapped his tail on the grey and white tom and licked Alkei quickly on the back of his neck, "I love you too Alkei."

TROLOLOL. I think I'm starting to make them a couple

I totally cheated on this picture orz I used refs for everything (even the fail rottweilers) but WHATEVER :L

Anyway, this is how Caghro got his flame mark and metal shackle/collar.
