Thanks a lot for your fav and comment, that's true this one took me some time, but it's still quite far from what I wanted to do.
By the way, if you wanna see some calligraphy here on DA, I run a club: the ~Scriptorium

Gorgeous illumination! And I have always loved this piece - Much Ado About Nothing is one of my favorite of Shakespeare's plays. Very well done!

Ne soupirez donc plus;
Laissez-les aller;
Soyez heureuses et belles;
Ces peines si ennuyeuses et si pesantes;
Depuis que l'été eut des feuilles pour la première fois;
Ne soupirez donc plus;
Laissez-les aller;
Soyez heureuses et belles;

Very elegant. The script is pretty and the initials make it seem like an old time manuscript. You have real talent.

Thanks a lot.
I wanted it to look a bit like an old manuscript yes, though it's made on mere paper and not on parchment (it's a bit expensive).

Wonderful! The initials are very elegant and nicely balance the rest of the text!

Thanks, it was not easy for I had no model. I tried to avoid making something too heavy and intricate. So I'm pretty happy you find it balanced!
