i know how it is XD (actualy not anymore, i removed mines some time ago) just dont forget to change *insert the name of the thing you are suposed to change every month here* and you dont will feel the pain again

I've never had braces but I will very likely get some soon. :I I have quite a few friends who have braces. First few weeks are a bit tough, but you'll get used to it with time. c: I had one my friends who had her braces for five years... ._. Hopefully you won't have them as long as that!

Trust me, you won't even notice them in a couple of weeks. Just try and be careful of sticky food, that stuff's a pain to get out. And Doritos.
Actually, for the first week you might want to try chewing gum. Yeah, they tell you not to, but it'll get your teeth used to eating with braces on.

and fixing must hurt because it involves a lot of slow, controlled breaking, breaking the unfavorable bonds the teeth have made with the surrounding tissue so it establishes more favorable ones.

well it is probably better then invasalighn (which also hurts a fair amount), at least until the technology gets better, they apparently (according to my mom) didn't work well, and it's not just to fix you smile, it is mainly to allow easier care, and maintenance, and increase their effectiveness, the smile thing is just a side effect

My orthodontist said it was so my teeth wouldn't "aesthetically worsen" so I felt kind of coerced into getting them. But yeah, it probably is for the better. :>

Agggh yes braces. I got mine off... last summer? Idk but taking them off was painful too XD and then I got invisalign 
I supposedly got the braces off earlier than expected, so I guess you just hafta keep up with your flossing and maybe rubber bands. I flossed in the beginning and never did it again since it was so tedious XD
But yes, why must fixing hurt? >:I

omg! I flossed a lot in the beginning too! But I slowly stopped after a while, because yeah, that takes a while -__-;;

Been there, done that. It does hurt for a while, but you get used to it and the end results are worth it.

I hated braces the entire time constantly having at least two sores in my mouth, if they tightened them too quickly it felt like my teeth were doing the kind of bleeding (they weren't actually bleeding it just felt like it) before they would fall out (also my teeth stopped falling out years ago I just get paranoid about stuff like that) and the lisp they braces and retainers cause. I know your pain but it doesn't last forever

A lot people can't even play their instrument due to the pain, but I guess it's either my orthodontists like to take it slow and gentle or I'm just kind of ignorant to pain. Or maybe I just don't have any nerves, haha. xD
